The MacBook Air M1 chip is only able to connect to a single external monitor natively however, using an external DisplayLink Adapter I am able to connect two or more external displays. Connect Thunderbolt docks and devicesĪfter doing the initial steps, I use the Thunderbolt ports to connect on the one hand a LG 35WN75C-B Curved UltraWide monitor (which gives me a couple of additional USB ports) and on the other hand an Anker PowerExpand Elite 13-in-1 Thunderbolt dock. Note that I do the initial macOS setup without any devices connected to the MacBook. I usually do this each year to at least cover my Apple One Family and other app subscriptions. My tip (unfortunately not possible anymore): Try to cover the cost by buying gift cards in advance with a 15 or 20 percent bonus credit so that the cost is reduced by that percentage.
